About Hedge

Abe Hollingsworth started his career as a joiner while working for Duncan Sargent in his workshop on Constable Street in Newtown, Wellington. 

In 2020, with Duncan winding down operation, Abe decided to take over the workshop and start Hedge. Who said starting a business in a pandemic was a bad idea?

Abe’s background in industrial design means that all of Hedge’s projects are led by design. He manages all projects from design through to installation, which means that everything that Hedge does is custom and perfectly suited to each unique space. 

Hedge is a young, energetic and skilled team of makers - we are ready to take on whatever furniture project you can throw at us!
